A few months ago, I started taking a vitamin called "The B’s." A Facebook friend who sells them sent me a free sample that I really didn’t expect much from. My gut said to try them, though, so I did, and I have continuously been floored by their effect on my health over and over again, in that short amount of time. Before I tell you all that has happened for my health, let me first tell you that I’m giving my account based on the caffeine-free version of the B’s called B-Free. I first tried the moderately caffeinated B-Lite (it contains about the amount of caffeine that a cup of coffee would have), but I was too sensitive to them -as is typically the case for most things I consume. I have a sensitive system.
I know that the caffeinated versions, B-Lite and B-Xtra, have a track record of being incredible for weight loss due to the appetite-suppressing herb within them (and when I tried B-Lite, I definitely felt it). The amount of this herb is smaller in the caffeine-free B-Free, but that works for me. I’m not trying to lose weight. I do, however, greatly appreciate the mild appetite-suppressant effects of this vitamin, considering that I’m usually trying not to overeat and gain weight (also something I’m easily prone to doing). I take these in the morning and then often find myself having only a cup of coffee and some fruit in the morning, followed by something like a hearty salad for lunch, before I find myself getting hungry. One little vitamin goes a long way, here.
Most importantly, though, is what B-Free has done for my health! I’m going to share my personal history with you so you can have a well-rounded view of how these have changed so much in my life. I’ve had a condition that’s similar to endometriosis -called adenomyosis- for at least 12 years, now. This condition creates extremely painful periods, enlarges and hardens the uterus, can eventually lead to anemia, and is said by doctors to only get worse until one has a hysterectomy. My menstruation for years has meant being bedridden, fatigued, maxed out on all the painkillers I can take, and still feeling like I’m in labor.
They were BRUTAL. Until I started taking the B’s! The B’s impact on my period was instant, too. I have since gotten a friend to take them (she’s in LOVE with the extra caffeinated ones, B-Xtra) who says she doesn’t have cramps during her period anymore, got my daughter taking them (she prefers the moderately caffeinated B-Lites to the non-caffeinated ones) who no longer has immensely painful periods because of these, and another woman I know with PCOS has told me how these made her cycle regular and reduced her menstrual pain to almost nothing. These things are a godsend! I need to add that it isn’t just pain reduction for me, it’s also the way my periods are happening now: they’re occurring in a healthy way again instead of the dysfunctional way my adenomyosis had caused them to happen for so many years. These vitamins are bringing me great relief, but they’re also clearly healing my condition.
In addition to being miraculous for menstrual cycles and our reproductive systems, the migraines I used to get around my period have disappeared. From what I hear, relief from headaches is common with these. I believe this has to do with the therapeutic level of B-vitamins and healthy dose of magnesium in the B’s. Did you know that most people are deficient in magnesium? It’s a nutrient worth Googling! Getting enough of a quality source of magnesium is a beautiful thing as it’s soothing to our muscles and nervous systems, and plays an important role in many areas of our health, like improving sleep, calming anxiety, helping us stay regular (proper elimination is critical to good health), and decreasing muscle aches and headaches.
I’ve also noticed an AMAZING increase in stamina! Possibly from my periods wreaking havoc on my body, or possibly from burnout I experienced a few years ago when I was working 55 hours a week, raising my two teens on my own, and finishing my degree online in my spare time, I developed chronic fatigue. I was exhausted by 3 or 4 p.m. every day, even to the point of my body aching all over, and sometimes going to bed by 7 p.m. B-Free has completely changed this for me. With B-Free in my body, I find myself highly active and productive all day, followed by working on my own personal projects and hobbies, followed by making dinner for my family (something I didn’t often have the energy for anymore, before the B’s), and enjoying my night and my life again!
As if all that isn’t enough, I recently caught a flu-like virus from the children I work with and experienced the mildest illness, of that kind, that I’ve ever had. I was fatigued and weak, and didn’t feel great, but I continued to work full-time, walk to the store to carry home groceries, work in my garden, even use my elliptical for exercise! Normally, when I get sick, I get REALLY sick. My daughter (before starting to take her B’s) was also sick with it -for two weeks, just like I had been- and she was miserable and soooo sick! There is no doubt in my mind that my body's strengthened ability to cope with the virus is just another fantastic benefit of the vitamin. I share all of this with all of you because I cannot experience something this profoundly wonderful and not hope that others will also find relief, more energy, and greatly improved health through them.
